Application of steel shot oxide coating on steel workpieces before painting
2024.08.04
Steel shot is widely used for descaling and rust removal of steel workpieces before coating, and centrifugal shot blasting equipment is often used in this situation. The spherical shape and lower hardness prevent the steel shot from causing significant wear on the equipment. Steel shot is also widely used in the casting industry. After the workpiece is taken out of the mold, the sand on the surface of the workpiece is removed with steel shot.
Melting high-quality molten steel, then spraying it with a high-pressure water spray gun to form steel balls. The formed steel balls are reheated to homogenize, and then quenched. After quenching, the steel shot is dried and reheated for tempering in the furnace to achieve the appropriate hardness. The tempered steel shot is sieved through a mechanical sieve to a grade that meets SEA specifications for use in shot blasting equipment. Products with different particle sizes and hardness are used in different processes, such as steel rust removal, surface strengthening, etc. When adding new steel balls, please adhere to the principle of few frequent additions.
